ImpossibleShape.com is a small browser-based geometry tool for testing whether a simple line drawing looks possible, impossible, or too ambiguous to judge.

The detector is designed for wireframes, optical illusions, Penrose-style shapes, cubes, stairs, tridents, and other clean geometric drawings. It is intentionally narrow: the goal is a fast, explainable tool that gives curious people a result they can understand and share.

How It Works

Drawings are converted into line segments, intersections, vertices, and graph relationships. The browser then checks those relationships for geometric contradictions such as impossible junctions, depth-order cycles, non-manifold structures, and perspective inconsistencies.

The tool is intentionally conservative. It does not claim expert review, mathematical proof, or firsthand testing of every possible drawing. The public methodology and editorial policy describe how explanations, limitations, and corrections are handled.

What This Site Is Not

• It is not a professional engineering, mathematics, or design-verification service.
• It does not send drawings or uploaded images to a server during normal tool use.
• It does not sell leads, route requests, or run a provider marketplace.
